Articulation
What is Articulation?
Articulation is how the mouth produces and forms sounds used in speaking. These sounds are made by precise placement of the tongue, teeth, and lips along with adequate breath support for volume. Difficulties with articulation may sound like a lisp, unclear pronunciation or a stutter.
Does my child need Articulation support?
Kids may have trouble with pronouncing particular sounds. If your child has trouble clearly pronouncing sounds or you find yourself translating what your child said often, look at our Articulation Checklist to see if your child may be a candidate for articulation support.
