Reading Support/Individual Tutoring

 A reading assessment using the standard DRA 2 evaluation is completed to fully gain an understanding of a child's reading skills. We evaulate the 5 major areas that are needed to master reading.

The CARS evaluation is used to evaluate other subjects that may require specialized tutoring. 

Precision/Fluency Teaching

Percision teaching is a specialized strategy which develops speed, accuracy and competency in acedemic skills. It has been proven to help achieves the following goals:

Retention

Endurance: The ability of the skill to be performed at a particular level over time.

Application: The ability to combine  create a more consistent demonstration of skill.

Our reading teachers

Marsha Sutherland is a reading endorsed teacher for grades K through 12th. She is ESOL certified and carries a Florida certification in Langauge arts for grades 6 through12.  

She is quailfied to teach reading and specialized tutoring for all sunbjects through 12th grade.

  She is quailfied and trained to  instruct students using percision and fluency teaching.
